How to remove Cement Stains from glass

During construction, if the workers aren't careful enough they could end up doing real harm to the glass windows of your house, office or restaurant. There are a number of ways in which this can happen. While the construction is going on, the main thing being used is cement. Cement is extremely harmful for glass because when being used, the cement dust might get on the glass windows and leave very unappealing stains on it.

Another problem with cement is that it etches glass, which means it doesn't only leave stains but also damages the surface of the glass. This damage leaves deep crevices on the surface of the glass which cannot be fixed and they make the glass look old. It is best to clean the cement stains on glass as soon as they appear. For the best stain removal, the following method has proved quite successful, leaving the glass in your windows as clean as new.

Things that you will require:

· Vinegar

· Sponge

· Empty tray

· Cleaning towel

· Empty bowl

Steps that you will need to take:

1. Remove the glass from the frame if that is possible. If it isn't stain removal might be hard.

2. Once removed, take the empty tray and fill it with equal amounts of water and vinegar. Make sure there is enough in it to submerge the glass with cement stains on it. Leave it in for about ten minutes. Alternately if the glass is unable to remove from frame put the mixture in a spray bottle and spray over the stains. Leave it for 10-15mins.

3. Use the sponge to remove the cement.

4. In case the cement has etched the glass or it is not removed, heat some vinegar and soak the sponge in it.

5. Apply the sponge on the cement and leave it on for about ten or fifteen minutes.

6. Use the cleaning towel to remove the cement stains and then rinse the glass with water. This should clear out all the stains.
