Default Cleaning carbs

Anyone here use an ultrasonic cleaner to make clean them? The "good stuff" erstwhile school carb cleaner dip buckets aren't bachelor. Today's crap is weaker, and the gas is worse than back so. Other things (also buying a $17 Cathay made carb) that work?

I've used lacquer thinner....

Unless they recently stopped making the 1 gal carb cleaner "dip buckets", Napa carries them.... or similar I said, used to a few years ago. I idea they withal did.

Today's gas has more booze in information technology than the gas of old. Carbs are cleaner. You lot don't see stale up carbs on today's gas, with varnish in them y'all can't chip out with a chisel, like gas of old. If the carb you are cleaning is that nasty, it'south from something other than today'due south gasoline....

Yeah the dip buckets are still around merely they ain't as good equally they used to be.
Lacquer thinner was never strong enough to clean upward the really nasty ones in my experience.
And yep I got into a couple of really nasty ones over the past weekend. I accept a few engines hither, did a carb clean up spree the concluding couple days. Waiting for parts to get here for two of them. Both Kohler/Carter ones. One has a bent throttle shaft (IDK how that happened.)
Both of these need new main nozzles-- the one from the 26 is cracked and the one out of the xxx barely has a screwdriver slot left and that was a plain nasty ane.
I also did a walbro whg 52 (ii mixture screw version) and ii tillotson carbs from off topic machines.
Got to modify the water and simple green mix in the ultrasonic cleaner and driblet the 30 in again.... Outside came out great within still has an oil slick in the Venturi.

I bead blast carbs and the main parts when I rebuild them. Just accept to exist sure there is no chaplet (sand) in the passages when you go back together. Scares some people. I've never had an event, and they wait brand new!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 equally part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and individual gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snowfall blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - best-selling by many as the globe's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
